Laid papers have natural horizontal "ridges" in the paper that you can feel as you run your finger along the card, similar to corduroy. If you hold it up to the light at the right angle, you can see the slight ridges. This gives the paper an interesting visual texture that you can also feel.
Linen papers have even finer ridges that are both horizontal and vertical... like crosshatching. From a visual and tactile standpoint, it is less obvious than the Laid paper stocks.
Fibre-Tone paper has natural flecks of darker paper fibers mixed into it. This isn't printed on the paper, it's actually part of the paper-making process. It's very organic and it doesn't distract from the printed text and graphics.
Parchtint paper has slight color variations in it, like a pair of stone-washed blue jeans. It gives the paper a "cloudy sky" appearance that is also organic-looking without being distracting.
We also have a Woodgrain paper which has a printed pattern that looks like hardwood. If your company does anything with wood, this is a great card stock option for you.
And finally, we have some really great foil embossed cards. Usually, foil embossing is very expensive because an embossing stamp must be custom-created. This involves rather large and expensive machinery and can cost several hundred dollars just to make the embossing stamp. Then there is the printing cost and the foil stamping cost. We offer a unique solution for customers that want the elegant look of foil embossing without the typical expense. We have a ready-made paper stock that has already been embossed and stamped with either metallic gold or metallic silver foil. When you select this paper, the embossed area is shown on the card preview so you can position your text and graphics around it. Your cards are then printed right onto the pre-embossed paper and the end result is breathtaking! Just don't tell anyone how inexpensive it was.
